An acute care healthcare facility in Great Falls, Montana is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient emergency care.
Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the Emergency Department
Perform safe and accurate patient triage based on physical and psychosocial needs
Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and accountability in patient care delivery
Communicate promptly with emergency physicians and advanced practice providers regarding patient condition, diagnostic results, and treatment responses
Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition or clinical status
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, mid-level providers, allied health staff, and interdisciplinary teams
Provide guidance and direction to Emergency Department technicians, registration staff, and support personnel
Follow clinical policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
Required (or must be obtained within 6 months of hire):
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Montana
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
Strong knowledge of Emergency Department nursing principles and procedures
Proficiency with IV therapy and operation of manual and electronic medical equipment
Excellent patient assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
Basic computer and documentation skills
