Ultrasound Technologist

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Grand Junction, Colorado is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform a full range of ultrasound procedures and related administrative tasks supporting women’s health services. This role emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient clinical workflow.


Work Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • No nights or weekends


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure ultrasound equipment is operational prior to patient procedures

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations per established protocols

  • Clean and restock exam rooms after each patient encounter

  • Sanitize all equipment after use, including scanners, tables, consoles, workstations, and accessories

  • Communicate exam findings to referring providers as directed

  • Track and manage STAT results, follow-up calls, and patients awaiting results

  • Accurately transfer images, patient data, and exam documentation for after-hours interpretation

  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 2 years of related ultrasound experience preferred


Certifications & Licensure

  • ARDMS (or equivalent registry) in General, OB, or Vascular

  • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification


Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $38.00 – $43.70

  • Estimated Annual Salary: $79,040 – $90,896 (based on 40.5 hours/week)

Additional compensation opportunities may include discretionary bonuses, relocation assistance, merit increases, market adjustments, and recognition awards based on individual and organizational performance.
