Job Title: Tumor Registrar (CTR) / Oncology Data Specialist (ODS)
Location: Oceanside, NY 11572 (Long Island)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
Duration: 9 Weeks
Pay Rate: $40 – $45 per hour (based on experience)

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) / Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) to support both oncology data management and patient-care coordination functions within a healthcare setting.
This role involves patient registration, insurance verification, demographic and financial data entry, chart management, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and maintains a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Register patients and update demographic and financial information
Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
Generate and review patient charts for completeness and compliance
Obtain required patient consents and documentation
Process laboratory specimens according to established protocols
Maintain registration logs and reconcile logbooks
Schedule clinic appointments and manage recall files
Retrieve, file, and maintain medical records accurately
Greet patients and visitors; manage incoming calls professionally
Escort patients and visitors as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Assist with patient transport (wheelchair or stretcher) when required
Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) – Required
High School Diploma or GED
Experience with EPIC – Required
Experience with METRIQ (Metric) Software – Required
Strong computer and keyboarding skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and exercise sound judgment
Proficiency in written and spoken English
1+ year of healthcare experience
Prior experience in tumor registry or oncology-related registration strongly preferred
