Position Overview

A hospital laboratory is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a night shift assignment. This role requires strong competency across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology/Serology, and Urinalysis in a hospital-based clinical laboratory setting.


Required Certifications & Licensure

  • ASCP Certification – Required

  • New York State DOH License – Required


Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical lab experience

  • Hospital clinical laboratory experience

  • Community hospital experience

  • Trauma Level II experience

  • EPIC EMR experience

  • Sunquest LIS experience

  • WellSky (Blood Bank) experience

Blood Bank

  • ABO/Rh typing, Antibody Screen & Identification

  • AHG Crossmatch & Electronic Crossmatch

  • Antigen/Antibody Typing (Tube Method)

  • Direct & Indirect Coombs (DAT)

  • Transfusion reaction workups

  • Rhogam screening

  • Donor collection procedures

  • Blood irradiation

  • Plasmapheresis / Plateletpheresis

  • Cord blood evaluation


Chemistry

  • Arterial Blood Gas (ABG)

  • Cardiac enzymes & tumor markers
