Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $66.30/hour

  • Total Weekly Gross: $2,610

  • Weekly Stipend: $1,652

Position Summary

A respected healthcare facility in Hyannis, MA is seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for a 13-week contract assignment. The Surgical Technician demonstrates strong technical knowledge of the surgical environment, infection control principles, and sterile techniques while assisting the Registered Nurse and Surgeon to maintain a safe and efficient operating room.

The ideal candidate has CVOR experience and is capable of performing scrub technician duties across multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions

  • Maintain a sterile field in accordance with hospital policies and AORN Standards of Care

  • Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures

  • Perform scrub technician duties across all surgical services and specialties

  • Demonstrate knowledge of infection prevention and sterile technique

  • Support quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technician program

  • Certification from an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists)

  • Current BLS Certification

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

  • CVOR experience required

Additional Must-Have Skills

  • Front and back-office clinical experience

  • Ability to take and document vital signs

  • Current BLS or CPR certification
