Job Title: Tumor Registrar
Location: Hicksville, NY 11801
Duration: 9 Weeks (Local Contract)
Pay Rate: $40 – $43 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
Day Shift Only

Greet and assist patients and visitors
Answer and direct phone calls
Register patients and update demographic/insurance information
Verify insurance and obtain required signatures
Schedule appointments
Generate and review patient charts
Ensure proper documentation and physician signatures
Enter data into computerized systems
Maintain medical records and registration logs
Process and label lab specimens
Assist with patient transport when needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
6–9 months of healthcare experience preferred
Basic computer and typing skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Preferred:
Tumor registry or oncology-related experience
Experience with hospital registration systems or EMR
