Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional
Location: Moravia, NY (13118)
Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8-Hour (6:00 AM – 1:58 PM)
Pay Rate: $54 – $58 per hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,025 – $2,175
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week assignment at a correctional facility in Moravia, NY. This role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a secure and structured environment.
Conduct sick call assessments and triage
Administer medications, including insulin and emergency medications
Respond to medical emergencies (e.g., respiratory distress, injuries, staff incidents)
Coordinate emergency room transfers when necessary
Screen, assess, and report medical and mental health concerns
Maintain accurate and timely patient health documentation
Follow tool control and facility security procedures
Document and report incidents in compliance with regulations
Assist with administrative duties, including required reporting
Adhere strictly to facility security protocols and healthcare standards
Active and unrestricted New York State RN license
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (correctional experience preferred)
BLS certification (required)
Strong assessment and triage skills
Ability to work independently in a secure environment
Comfortable working within structured correctional regulations
