Position Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location: Lake City, FL
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Available Shifts

  • Mixed Shifts (Rotating Weekends)

  • Nights (Rotating Weekends)


Compensation

  • Hourly Pay Range:

    • Minimum: $30.60/hour

    • Midpoint: $38.25/hour (approx. 10 years experience)

    • Maximum: $45.90/hour (15+ years experience)

  • Night Shift Differential: $4.25/hour

Sign-On Bonus

  • $10,000 – Day Shift

  • $15,000 – Night Shift


Position Summary

An established acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department. This role involves close collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using evidence-based nursing practices. The ER RN plays a critical role in patient safety, clinical excellence, and compassionate care delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care Delivery

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including pain evaluations and reassessments

  • Deliver emergency nursing care in accordance with established clinical protocols

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Monitor patient responses and intervene appropriately in critical situations

  • Document all patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record

Patient & Family Education

  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care

  • Translate complex medical information into clear, understandable language

  • Promote self-management strategies and preventive care practices

Patient Advocacy & Service Excellence

  • Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes

  • Respond promptly to patient needs and anticipate concerns

  • Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

Licensure

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Emergency Room RN experience required

Required Certifications (Within 30 Days of Hire)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
