Job Title: Surgical Technologist III (Senior OR Tech)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule: Mixed Shifts (Rotating Weekends); 40 hours/week
Salary: $27.00 – $37.00/hr (Up to $45.00/hr for CV Certified candidates, based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 for Senior OR Tech
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Senior Level Surgical Technologist (OR Tech III) to join our surgical team. In this role, you will serve as a go-to expert and mentor, supporting complex and high-risk cases. You will provide first scrub support by managing instruments and anticipating surgeon needs, and second scrub support including suctioning, suture assistance, and endoscopic camera operation.
Expert Scrub Support: Manage instruments, supplies, and equipment during complex surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
Surgical Assistance: Perform second scrub tasks, including sponging, suctioning, cutting sutures, and holding retractors.
Lead Competency: Act as a lead resource in specialized areas such as Robotics, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn, and Vascular Surgery.
Vascular Expertise: Utilize advanced wire techniques and endovascular skills within a vascular hybrid room.
Clinical Vigilance: Anticipate surgeon needs and monitor patient care to ensure safety and efficiency.
Experience:
Minimum 1+ year of OR Tech experience.
Endovascular experience in a vascular hybrid room required.
Two years’ prior experience in a similar facility preferred.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) program.
Licensure/Certification:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) required.
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
On-Call Requirement: Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility.
Shift Differentials: $3.00/hr for Nights and Weekends.
On-Call Pay: $3.00/hr.
