A large, high-acuity acute care hospital in the Kansas City metro area is seeking an experienced OR Tech III (Tier 3) / Surgical Technologist to support advanced and complex surgical procedures in a fast-paced General Operating Room environment.
This senior-level technologist functions as a clinical expert and mentor, supporting high-risk and specialty cases. The OR Tech III performs both first and second scrub roles, maintains strict sterile technique, and proactively anticipates surgeon needs across multiple surgical specialties.
Serve as first scrub for advanced and high-risk surgical procedures
Anticipate surgeon needs while maintaining sterile field integrity
Function in second scrub role, including sponging, suctioning, suture cutting, retraction, and camera manipulation
Support adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
Demonstrate leadership and advanced competency in specialty surgical areas
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for OR team members
Minimum 1+ year of OR Surgical Technologist experience
Required: Endovascular experience in a vascular hybrid OR performing wire procedures
Demonstrated competency as lead technologist in the following specialties:
Robotic Surgery
Total Joint Procedures
Neuro / Spine
Burn
Vascular Surgery
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similarly sized acute care facility
Graduate of an accredited CORT program
CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) certification required upon hire
BLS certification required within 30 days of start date
