A leading acute care hospital in Central New York is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 14-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric and acute care experience and be comfortable working independently with minimal orientation.
This role requires delivering high-quality respiratory care services across a diverse patient population while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Gross Weekly Pay: $2,350/week
W2 Hourly Rate: $26/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1,400/week
Travel requirement: Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility.
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and positive pressure ventilation
Assist physicians with continuous mechanical ventilation management
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as required
Conduct pulmonary function testing
Perform radial arterial punctures for blood gas analysis
Provide acute respiratory care services with minimal supervision
Monitor and document patient responses to respiratory treatments
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration
Minimum of 2 years post-degree acute care clinical experience
Pediatric respiratory care experience required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
