Facility Overview

A state-of-the-art, full-service hospital in northwest Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist – BMT/Oncology to support its growing Transplant and Cellular Therapy program.

This teaching hospital is nationally recognized for cardiovascular and thoracic services, robotic surgery, and high patient satisfaction. The organization is part of a large, integrated health system serving Southern Nevada.

Position Summary

The BMT/Oncology Clinical Pharmacist primarily practices in the Cancer Care Clinic and rotates to the inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)/Oncology unit.

This role works collaboratively with physicians, nursing, and pharmacy teams to provide specialized care to hematology, oncology, transplant, biotherapy, and immune effector cellular therapy patients. The pharmacist serves as a subject matter expert within the transplant and cellular therapy program, operating with a high level of autonomy and clinical decision-making authority.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for BMT and oncology patients

  • Coordinate oncology regimens for autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation

  • Manage pharmacotherapy for CAR T-cell, BiTE, and other cellular therapies

  • Perform therapeutic drug monitoring

  • Provide patient education and counseling

  • Develop and maintain order sets, protocols, and evidence-based guidelines

  • Support medication distribution and order verification

  • Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects

  • Represent pharmacy services on committees and interdisciplinary meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – Required

  • Current Nevada Pharmacist License – Required

  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) – Required

  • PGY2 Oncology and/or Bone Marrow Transplant Residency
    OR

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical oncology practice experience

  • Practice experience in a BMT/Oncology clinic under a collaborative practice agreement

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Director of Pharmacy

  • FTEs in Role: 1

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $64.16 – $83.41 per hour (based on years of experience)

  • Weekend Differential: $1.50/hour

  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
