A 238-bed acute care hospital serving its community for over 40 years is seeking experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) Registered Nurses. The facility provides comprehensive, accredited care and is recognized for a broad range of advanced services, including:

The PCU/IMCU Registered Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients requiring intermediate or step-down monitoring. This role provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assess patient condition upon admission and throughout each shift; report changes promptly
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Perform nursing procedures and interventions as ordered
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
Maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical medications, equipment, and procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective patient care
1 year of recent (within the last year) acute care PCU experience
Will consider:
Recent acute care ER RN experience OR
3 years of recent acute Med-Surg experience
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license
(Florida RN license required within 60 days of relocation if compact license held)
RN Diploma or Associate Degree required
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
ACLS certification required within 60 days of hire
Unit Size: 24 beds
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 preferred (1:5 maximum)
Position Status: Open 6+ months due to expansion and turnover
