Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
Location: Gastonia, NC 28054
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay: Up to $2,074/Week (Including Stipend)
Candidate Type: Travel Assignments Only
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) assignment at a well-established regional medical center in Gastonia, NC. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled critical care nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Provide direct patient care for post-operative cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiovascular patients
Continuously monitor hemodynamic status, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms, initiating timely interventions
Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products in accordance with established protocols
Assist with advanced procedures including central line placement, arterial lines, and intra-aortic balloon pump management
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or critical care experience preferred
Strong proficiency in cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and hemodynamic support devices
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (CCRN preferred)
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced ICU setting
