The Manager of Labor & Delivery (RN) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of daily operations, staffing, and clinical performance within the department. This leader monitors and evaluates the delivery of nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures while holding staff accountable for quality outcomes and operational objectives.
This role provides operational leadership for a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit and participates in administrative on-call coverage as assigned.
Oversee daily operations and staffing of the Labor & Delivery department
Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and facility policies
Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and staff performance
Support and develop nursing staff to maintain high clinical standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care delivery
Address operational concerns and escalate issues as appropriate
Participate in departmental and leadership meetings
Support organizational goals and strategic initiatives
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Minimum 1+ year of recent (within the last year) leadership experience in Labor & Delivery (Required)
Active RN license (state-specific requirement applies)
Salary Range:
Minimum: $36.43/hr
Midpoint (10 years experience): $45.54/hr
Maximum (15+ years experience): $51.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus: Case by Case

Placement Fee: 20%
