Compensation & Incentives

  • Hourly Pay Range:

    • $24.90/hr (Minimum)

    • $29.50/hr (Midpoint – 10+ years of experience)

    • $33.59/hr (Maximum – 15+ years of experience)

  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000


Facility Overview

A 404-bed tertiary care, Level II Trauma Center in Central Florida is seeking a skilled Cardiac Electrophysiology Technician to join its Cath/EP Lab team. This teaching hospital is affiliated with an academic medical center and offers a broad spectrum of advanced cardiac, trauma, and specialty services, along with a freestanding emergency department serving the surrounding community.


Position Summary

The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Technician assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias and peripheral vascular conditions within a high-acuity Cath/EP Lab environment.

This role supports complex cardiac procedures and requires strong technical expertise in electrophysiology and ablation technologies, along with a commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during EP procedures and cardiac interventions

  • Support procedures including PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP device implantation, and ablations

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain EP lab equipment and devices

  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures and provide direct patient care

  • Deliver patient-centered education and support

  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements


Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program

  • Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology experience, including EP and ablation devices

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • One of the following professional credentials required:

    • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

    • Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech)

    • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)

  • Acute care experience preferred but not required
