A state-of-the-art, full-service medical center in northwest Las Vegas is seeking a highly experienced Clinical Pharmacist – BMT/Oncology to support advanced hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant, and cellular therapy services. The facility is nationally recognized for patient safety, clinical excellence, and academic teaching, and is part of a large regional healthcare system with multiple hospitals and specialty care centers.
The Clinical Pharmacist – BMT/Oncology practices primarily in an outpatient cancer care clinic and rotates to an inpatient BMT/Oncology unit. This role provides specialized clinical pharmacy services for patients undergoing hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant, biotherapy, and immune effector cellular therapies.
This position serves as a clinical expert within a nationally recognized transplant and cellular therapy program and works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and independent clinical decision-making.
Coordinate and manage oncology treatment regimens for autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation
Support CAR T-cell, BiTE, and other advanced cellular therapies
Perform therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacokinetic assessments
Provide patient counseling and medication education
Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based pharmacotherapy
Develop, implement, and monitor order sets, clinical protocols, and guidelines
Participate in research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and clinical trials support
Serve on hospital committees and participate in interdisciplinary meetings
Provide medication order verification and distribution support as needed
First program in Nevada to perform CAR T-cell therapy and allogeneic stem cell transplants
Large outpatient transplant and cellular therapy clinic
Member of a nationally recognized transplant and cellular therapy network
High-volume program treating transplant and cellular therapy patients annually across multiple accredited programs
Required:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Active Nevada Pharmacist License
Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP)
PGY2 Oncology and/or Bone Marrow Transplant Residency
OR minimum 5 years of clinical oncology practice experience
Preferred:
Experience in a BMT/Oncology clinic with a collaborative practice agreement
