Job Title: Patient Care Associate – Med/Surg
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Patient Care Associate – Med/Surg for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Strong clinical and patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a Med/Surg unit
• Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, height, and weight
• Perform phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and fingerstick testing
• Conduct EKG/ECG procedures and basic diagnostic tests
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare patients for exams and diagnostic testing
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and charts
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, equipment, and instruments
• Provide basic first aid and BLS when required
• Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety policies

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy training with hands-on practical experience (online-only programs not accepted)
• EKG/ECG training with hands-on practical experience (online-only programs not accepted)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Phlebotomy and EKG/ECG certification
