Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care within a Vascular Surgery Ambulatory Clinic. The RN must be comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment, performing triage, patient assessments, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams.

This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to function independently with minimal orientation and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough nursing assessments in an ambulatory/acute care setting

• Provide patient triage and clinical decision support

• Deliver direct patient care within scope of vascular specialty

• Assist with procedures and post-procedural monitoring

• Coordinate follow-up care and patient education

• Document accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system

• Maintain high standards of infection prevention and patient safety

• Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License/Registration

• BLS Certification (must maintain active status)

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a comparable hospital setting

• Experience in hospitals of equal or greater size/trauma level

• Strong nursing assessment skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience

• Ambulatory Care experience

• Vascular Surgery clinic experience

• EPIC EMR experience

• Patient triage experience
