Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Emergency Department
Location: Syracuse, New York
Contract Duration: 15 Weeks

Schedule: 1 shift per week
Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours
Total Weekly Hours: 12.5
Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and some holidays required
A healthcare organization in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 15-week assignment. This role requires a strong pediatric emergency background, advanced triage skills, and the ability to function independently in a high-acuity emergency care environment.
Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric patients across a wide range of acuity levels
Perform comprehensive pediatric triage assessments using established triage protocols
Rapidly assess, prioritize, and initiate care for critically ill or injured pediatric patients
Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments as ordered
Assist with trauma resuscitations and emergency procedures
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
Accurately document all patient care in the EPIC electronic medical record system
Maintain compliance with infection control policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Majority of clinical experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department
Formal pediatric triage training required
Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred
EPIC experience preferred
Adult Emergency Department experience a plus
Candidates with only combined Adult/Pediatric ED experience will not be considered
