Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to support an Information Technology organization delivering customer-facing technology initiatives. This role applies Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles to organize work, improve team performance, and ensure delivery of high-quality technical solutions.

The Scrum Master will support up to three Agile teams, lead all Scrum ceremonies, participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning, and collaborate across the broader Agile community to report on team health and delivery status.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Scrum Master for up to three Agile teams

• Lead and facilitate all Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)

• Apply SAFe principles to support program execution and team alignment

• Support quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning

• Manage and support Agile team backlogs, sprint plans, roadmaps, and story refinement

• Track and report team productivity, velocity, and delivery health

• Remove impediments and drive resolution to keep teams on track

• Ensure delivery of technical solutions in accordance with organizational development and change management standards

• Participate in Scrum of Scrums and broader Agile community ceremonies

• Communicate team status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders

Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)

Candidates must clearly meet all mandatory requirements:

1. Active Scrum Master Certification

   • Must provide certificate copy

   • Include issuing organization, date achieved, and expiration date

2. Scaled Agile (SAFe) Scrum Master Experience

   • Minimum 3 years total experience as a Scrum Master within a SAFe environment

   • At least 1 year of this experience within the past 24 months

   • Must include role title, organization, and begin/end dates

3. Recent Scrum Master Role Experience

   • Within the past 24 months, minimum 1 year serving in an official Scrum Master role

   • Experience must include:

     • Managing Agile team backlog

     • Sprint planning and roadmaps

     • Story refinement

     • Productivity and reporting

   • Must include organization and dates

4. JIRA Experience

   • Within the past 24 months, minimum 1 year using JIRA to support Agile teams

   • Experience must include:

     • Creating user stories and tasks

     • Linking issue types

     • Managing and closing sprints

   • Must include organization and dates

Desirable Qualifications

• 3+ years of servant leadership experience (describe supporting skills)

• Electric utility industry experience as a Scrum Master

• 3+ years practicing Agile frameworks (specify framework, company, and dates)

• 3+ years prioritizing work within Agile teams (describe process used)
