Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to support an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry program in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a compassionate and clinically skilled social worker with experience serving adults with mental health conditions. The LMSW will play a key role in patient advocacy, care coordination, and discharge planning while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical social work services to adult inpatients with psychiatric and mental health conditions

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care and discharge plans

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care

  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and patient/family support as needed

  • Advocate for patients’ psychosocial needs and connect them with appropriate community resources

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings

  • Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional ethical standards

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)

  • Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license (NYSED)

  • Minimum 1 year of professional LMSW experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in hospital or acute care settings

  • Experience with adult inpatient psychiatry or behavioral health

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
