Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

The Medical ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered critical care in a fast-paced ICU environment. The RN evaluates patient conditions, collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and implements individualized plans of care based on patient acuity and clinical priorities.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill patients
Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care through ongoing assessments
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions in accordance with ICU standards
Manage and monitor patients requiring advanced critical care support
Administer blood transfusions and high-risk medications safely
Document care accurately based on standards of practice and patient acuity
Advocate for evidence-based practices and patient-centered care
Support unit initiatives and quality improvement efforts
Perform additional duties as assigned
2–3 years of strong Med ICU or ICU experience required
Experience with:
Mechanical ventilation
Central line management
ICU cardiac telemetry
Complex vasopressors
Sedation and paralytics (including spontaneous breathing trials)
Arterial lines and Swan-Ganz catheters
Phlebotomy and arterial blood gas collection
Chest tubes
Peripheral IV access
Bladder management and straight catheterization
CRRT (required)
Balloon pump experience (preferred)
Impella experience (preferred)
CCRN certification (highly recommended)
Required: ASN
Preferred: BSN
Active NJ RN License or Compact License
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
Telemetry
NIHSS
Stroke CEU – 4 Contact Hours
