Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $31 – $40 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience managing medically complex patients and providing comprehensive care for individuals with speech, language, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders.
Evaluate, assess, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Provide direct clinical services to acute care patients with complex medical conditions
Manage and treat dysphagia cases in accordance with best clinical practices
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress
Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines
Active Speech Language Pathologist license issued by NYSED (Primary Source Verification required)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech Clinician
Dysphagia training required
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, including medically complex cases
BLS certification preferred
Strong communication, clinical documentation, and patient care skills
