Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Mild/Moderate (Learning Specialist)
Location: Thornton, CO
Contract Duration: 16 Weeks (Through End of School Year)
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (5 × 7.5 hours)
Pay Rate: $41–$50 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to serve as a Learning Specialist supporting students across multiple educational sites within an Educational Service Center (ESC). This position offers an immediate start and continues through the end of the current school year.
Provide instruction in Math, Literacy, and Executive Functioning for:
Elementary students (Grades K–1)
Middle school students (Grades 6–8)
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to promote student achievement.
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessments, and instructional plans.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that supports diverse learner needs.
Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license in Special Education.
Experience working with students with mild/moderate disabilities preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
