"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will support surgeons and the perioperative team during a wide range of surgical procedures, ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment for both adult and pediatric patients.
The facility features 23 operating rooms and 1 procedure room, supporting both elective and emergency cases across multiple surgical specialties.
Prepare operating rooms with required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field
Ensure proper handling, care, and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies
Anticipate surgical team needs and respond promptly during procedures
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and hospital protocols
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff
Support both adult and pediatric surgical cases
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
NBSTSA Certification required
Exception: Certification not required if the candidate worked as a Surgical Tech in New York State prior to 2015
Recent operating room experience required
Experience with both elective and emergency procedures preferred
Travel position only (local candidates not accepted)
Must reside 50–75+ miles from the facility (per facility guidelines)
