MRI Technologist – Travel Contract

Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Assignment Type: 13-Week Travel Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Compensation

  • Travel: $60 to $66/hour (Weekly: up to $2,475, includes stipend)


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a hospital-based imaging department in Hackensack, NJ. The technologist will perform a wide range of MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and exceptional patient care.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of MRI experience and familiarity with standard MRI protocols in a hospital environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols

  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning during procedures

  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required

  • Process and complete imaging studies promptly and accurately

  • Translate physician orders into appropriate imaging protocols

  • Maintain accurate patient records, logs, and documentation

  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to optimize imaging outcomes

  • Respond to stat and emergency imaging requests as needed

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report concerns appropriately

  • Support departmental workflow, including coverage and cross-training when required

  • Deliver high-quality patient service to support positive satisfaction outcomes


Required Qualifications

  • New Jersey State MRI License

  • ARRT (MRI) Certification

  • Minimum 2 years of MRI experience in a hospital or clinical setting

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
