Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekends: Every other weekend required
The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in a Family Birthplace / LDRP setting with integrated nursery responsibilities. This role supports a Baby-Friendly facility and requires strong clinical skills across labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery, and OB triage environments.
Provide 1:1 nursing care for active labor and magnesium sulfate patients
Manage inductions, postpartum couplet care, and acute care nursery patients
Support LDRP model, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
Perform OB triage assessments and assist with GYN surgical patient care
Serve in circulator role when required
Conduct newborn hearing screenings
Administer medications using automated dispensing systems
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic
Labor: 1:1
Cytotec inductions: 1:2
Magnesium patients: 1:1
Couplet (mother/baby) care: 1:3
Sick nursery: 1:1
Active RN state license
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Certifications Required:
BLS
ACLS
NRP
AWHONN Intermediate
Epic experience: Minimum 1 year required
Ability to take call and float as needed
