The Radiology Manager provides leadership, oversight, and operational management of the Radiology program. This role ensures high-quality imaging services, regulatory compliance, staff competency, equipment integrity, and efficient departmental operations. The Radiology Manager collaborates closely with clinical leadership, administrators, and finance teams to support quality care delivery and operational excellence.
Oversee daily operations of the Radiology department
Track incoming radiology studies to ensure proper submission, interpretation, and reporting
Provide training and support related to PACS systems
Assist with radiology transcription and documentation issues
Ensure radiology equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and compliant with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with clinic administrators and medical leadership to ensure quality and efficiency
Manage radiology equipment quotes and purchasing processes
Develop, implement, and maintain radiology policies and procedures
Oversee radiation protection and monitoring programs for staff
Partner with Finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify revenue optimization opportunities
Ensure completion of all quality assurance and quality control activities
Prepare required reports and documentation
Manage lead apron testing and safety compliance
Ensure staff training, competency validation, and ongoing education
Provide direct supervision of radiology staff
Conduct timely performance evaluations
Ensure staff performing radiologic exams are properly trained and competent
Perform radiologic exams within scope of training and competency when needed
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) – required
Registered Mammographer – preferred
Registered Ultrasound Technologist – preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 5 years of experience in Radiology Management and supervision
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
PACS training required
CT Technologist experience – preferred
MRI Technologist experience – preferred
