Location -  Wrangell, AS
Pay Range - $104,000 to $125,000

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mammography & CT Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services across multiple modalities. This role requires strong clinical judgment, patient-centered care, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while supporting patients across the full lifespan.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across assigned modalities, including Mammography and CT

  • Apply principles of radiation safety and patient protection during all procedures

  • Conduct screening and diagnostic mammography exams

  • Assist with CT imaging, contrast administration, and interventional procedures

  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation

  • Ensure equipment quality control, daily/weekly QC, and departmental compliance

  • Assist with patient transport and positioning

  • Collaborate with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams

  • Rotate shifts, take call as required, and respond within required timeframes

  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education

  • Support departmental operations in the absence of supervisory staff


Mammography Responsibilities

  • Screening and diagnostic mammography

  • Breast needle localization and specimen radiography

  • Stereotactic breast biopsy

  • Mammography quality control

  • Maintain ACR/FDA compliance requirements:

    • Minimum 100 mammograms annually

    • 5 CEUs in mammography per year


CT & Interventional Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment and automatic injectors

  • Modify imaging protocols for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

  • Assist with invasive and interventional procedures

  • Perform venipuncture and contrast administration

  • Maintain sterile technique and standard precautions

  • Support tele-radiology transmission

  • Manage supply inventory and equipment care


Patient Population

  • Newborn through Geriatric (all age groups)


Required Certifications & Licensure

  • ARRT – Radiography (Required)

  • ARRT Mammography and/or CT (Preferred)

  • BLS Certification (required within 45 days of hire)

  • Clinical competency assessment within required timeframes


Experience Requirements

  • Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality

  • Multi-modality experience strongly preferred
