Pay Range: $90,000 to $1,20,000
Under the general direction of Radiology leadership and the immediate supervision of a Lead Technologist, the CT Technologist performs imaging procedures at a technical level without direct supervision. This role includes performing general diagnostic radiographic exams and CT exams while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and image quality.
The CT Technologist is responsible for operating CT and X-ray equipment, preparing and administering contrast media (including IV injections), preparing patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications, and ensuring adherence to departmental policies, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.
Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic examinations
Operate CT and X-ray imaging equipment safely and effectively
Prepare and administer contrast media, including IV injections
Prepare patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications
Ensure quality control and compliance with professional standards and departmental policies
Support service excellence initiatives within the Radiology Department
Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality
Uphold ethical standards and best practices in diagnostic imaging
Desired:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic X-ray
Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT imaging
Required:
Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the State of California (CRT)
Approved CPR certification
ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification
Current ARRT license
State-issued Fluoroscopy permit
Advanced CT certification
Strong knowledge of human anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, and patient positioning
Understanding of radiographic exposure principles, radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology
Experience with quality assurance and specialized imaging techniques
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care
