Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
The Inbound Transportation Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing inbound freight movements from suppliers to manufacturing or distribution facilities. This role ensures shipments are delivered on time, accurately, and cost-effectively while maintaining strong communication with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
Build and plan inbound transportation loads based on production schedules and inventory requirements
Monitor inbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address exceptions
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal plant teams to resolve transportation issues or delays
Track and update shipment status using internal systems and Excel-based reports
Ensure compliance with transportation guidelines, safety standards, and company policies
Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
Maintain accurate documentation and records for all inbound shipments
Communicate shipment status and issues clearly through email, reports, and meetings
Support continuous improvement initiatives within transportation operations
Solid understanding of transportation and logistics processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email, and general computer applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Prior experience in inbound logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination
Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics platforms
