A healthcare organization in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technologist to support anesthesia services across all locations where general anesthesia is administered. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Experience supporting complex and invasive procedures—preferably within a Level I trauma setting—is highly desirable.
Support anesthesia services in all areas where general anesthesia is provided
Perform anesthesia room turnovers efficiently and safely
Prepare operating rooms for scheduled and emergency procedures, including invasive cases
Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain various makes and models of anesthesia machines
Assist anesthesiologists with invasive procedures, including:
Arterial line placement
Central venous catheter (CVC) placement
Thermodilution catheter placement
Apply infection control standards related to anesthesia equipment and supplies
Maintain aseptic and sterile technique at all times
Reprocess anesthesia equipment according to established protocols
Order, stock, and restock anesthesia supplies, rooms, and carts as directed
Graduate of an approved, accredited Anesthesia Technology program
ASATT National Certification as an Anesthesia Technologist
CPR/BLS certification required prior to start date
Preferred: 3–5 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technologist
Preferred: Consistent experience in a Level I trauma center
Preferred: Experience supporting acute cardiac cases
Strong knowledge of reprocessing methods, sterile tray setup, and aseptic techniques
Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
