11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Rotating weekends/on-call)
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – NICU to lead and support a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a large, specialized women’s and children’s healthcare facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered neonatal care, operational excellence, staff development, and continuous quality improvement within the NICU.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise in neonatal care, proven leadership experience, and a passion for advancing outcomes for newborns and families.
Assist the Director with daily department operations and strategic planning
Support department alignment with organizational mission, vision, and values
Coordinate and participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Initiatives
Ensure delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care
Provide direct clinical and operational support to NICU nursing staff
Assist in staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
Support clinical education, competency development, and staff mentoring
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration across Women’s Services
Assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services
Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
Contribute to a positive work culture and high-performing team environment
2+ years of recent NICU leadership experience (Manager or Charge Nurse level) in an acute care setting
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of Texas or Multi-State Compact)
Compact license holders must obtain Texas RN license within 60 days of hire
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required
