Location: Rochester, NY (must be more than 75-mile radius from facility)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Every Other Weekend
Pay Rate: $55 – $61 hourly
We are seeking a skilled Travel RN for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a perioperative and step-down environment. This role requires flexibility, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
Active New York RN license required – single state (pending licenses not accepted)
ACLS and BLS required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Experience in telemetry and step-down/PCU/IMC-level care
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; participation in Rapid Response/Code teams
Respiratory care: nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
Management of cardiac drips (no titration) and blood product administration
Central and peripheral line care/management
IV therapy and phlebotomy skills
Adherence to isolation precautions and infection control policies
Provide safe, high-quality care for post-anesthesia and step-down patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias or emergent situations
Administer oxygen therapy and support non-invasive airway management
Manage IV lines, cardiac drips, and blood product administration per protocol
Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Follow all isolation precautions and safety standards
