A hospital in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Inpatient Surgical Unit within a Medical-Surgical department. This role is ideal for nurses who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and committed to delivering safe, high-quality post-surgical and medical care.
Inpatient Surgical Unit within a Med-Surg floor
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Up to 7:1
500+ bed, Joint Commission–accredited acute care hospital
Comprehensive surgical, cardiac, stroke, oncology, and neurosciences services
Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to post-operative and medical-surgical patients
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per provider orders
Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition
Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, medications, and recovery expectations
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Document nursing care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure optimal outcomes
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license
Compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Acute care experience NOT required

BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required prior to start
NIH Stroke Scale required within 30 days of hire
Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
