Position Type: Full-Time | Acute Care Hospital
A acute care hospital in Florida is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join its Emergency Services team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to deliver high-quality care to patients ranging from minor injuries to critically ill emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
Mixed Shifts – Rotating weekends
Night Shifts – Rotating weekends
Triage, assess, and treat emergency patients of all ages
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Manage multiple patient cases simultaneously while prioritizing acuity
Provide direct nursing care for medical, trauma, and emergency conditions
Deliver patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up referrals
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary hospital teams
Maintain patient safety, privacy, and quality standards
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, or Emergency Department – required
Active Florida RN license or compact multistate RN license
Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
PALS certification required
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within 6 months
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) required within 6 months
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
