Shifts Available: Nights (Rotating Weekends), Days (Rotating Weekends)
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. The RN will provide high-acuity care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. This role involves independent clinical decision-making and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Serve as the patient and family advocate, protecting privacy and confidentiality.
Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and procedures.
Provide high-acuity care with attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
Make clinical assessments and manage patient care autonomously.
Experience:
1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) acute care experience in ER, ICU, or CVICU.
PCU/IMCU experience considered if ≥2 years.
Licensure: Florida RN license or multistate RN license; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida RN license after relocation.
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 6 months of hire.
CCRN preferred.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention required within 90 days.
Trauma Nursing Core Course required within 90 days.
Education: Associate Degree or RN Diploma; BSN preferred.
Total Beds: 10 (Private rooms)
Continuous telemetry monitoring
Targeted Paid FTEs: 20.68
Patient-to-Nurse Ratio:
Night shift: 1:2-3
Day shift: 1:2-3
Patient Population: Medical/Surgical ICU, ventilated patients, patients on vasoactive medications, low acute trauma cases, cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic cases
Typical Daily Census: 8–10 patients
Typical Patient Stay: 3–4 days
Typical Daily Discharges: 1 discharge, 2–3 transfers to step-down or medical floor
Unit Highlights: New unit, strong team dynamic, leadership presence, easy access to supplies and equipment
Desired Candidate Qualities: Adaptable, collaborative, compassionate, critical thinker, team-focused
Ideal Candidate Background: Prior ICU, ED, or surgical floor experience
Shadow Shift: Required (day or night based on chosen shift)
