We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Architect / Salesforce Lead with 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience to provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for a complex Salesforce environment. This role will guide internal development teams, coordinate with multiple external implementation partners, ensure architectural consistency, oversee integrations, and lead end-to-end release management using Copado.
The Salesforce Lead will collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure technical requirements, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables are clearly defined and successfully executed. This role reports to senior IT leadership.
Single Salesforce org leveraging Public Sector Solutions (PSS)
Supports large-scale programs including benefits administration, case management, and grant management
Multiple integrated enterprise systems
Development performed by multiple external vendors alongside internal technical teams
Requires strong governance, architectural discipline, and cross-team coordination
Lead Salesforce technical architecture, solution design, and development strategy across the organization
Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to Salesforce developers and administrators
Design, build, and enhance Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Flows, OmniStudio, OmniScripts, and advanced configuration
Review, approve, and guide development efforts to ensure best practices, scalability, and maintainability
Monitor development activity across multiple teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and delivery timelines
Architect and lead integrations between Salesforce and enterprise data platforms (including Snowflake)
Design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL tools, and third-party systems
Own environment strategy including sandbox management, version control, and metadata deployment
Lead Copado-based CI/CD and release management, including pipeline governance, promotion strategies, and quality controls
Partner with Project Managers to manage technical risks, dependencies, and delivery expectations
Perform advanced Salesforce administration including security model, profiles, permission sets, roles, and data governance
Conduct technical audits of automation, code, integrations, and system configurations
Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical design documents, and deployment documentation
Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend platform improvements
Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
10+ years of Salesforce development and architecture experience
8+ years of experience designing and implementing complex integrations
Strong leadership experience managing and mentoring developers across multiple teams
Expert-level hands-on experience with:
Apex, Visualforce, LWC
SOQL/SOSL
Flows and Salesforce automation
OmniStudio / OmniScript
Expert experience with Copado, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and release governance
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, sharing rules, SSO, and data modeling
Experience with enterprise data management and reporting strategies
Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salesforce certifications (Admin, Developer, Architect)
Experience with MuleSoft for API-led integrations and enterprise connectivity
