Shift: Day Shift | 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM
Assignment Length: 31 Weeks
Weekly Hours: 35 Hours
Pay Rate: $40–$45 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Special Education Teacher – Cross Categorical (SPED Cross Cat) for an exciting job in Aldie, VA.
Deliver specialized instruction in individual, small-group, and inclusive settings
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines
Adapt curriculum, instruction, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs
Track, analyze, and document student progress toward IEP goals
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Implement behavior intervention plans and provide classroom behavior support
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
Active or eligible Virginia Special Education teaching license (Cross-Categorical or equivalent)
School-based experience working with students with disabilities
Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and compliance requirements
Effective classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Prior experience as a Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher
Experience supporting students with autism, emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, or intellectual disabilities
Familiarity with inclusive practices, co-teaching models, and data-driven instruction
