Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Location: Montour Falls, NY
Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel
Shift: Night (5×8 hours)
Pay Rate: $30–$35/hr
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care in a skilled nursing facility. The LPN will perform a wide range of nursing and clinical support activities with minimal supervision, ensuring safe, high-quality care for patients. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining clinical areas. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is strongly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient care functions in an acute or skilled nursing setting.
Greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist during exams (e.g., setting up trays for injections, taking vital signs).
Assist with general office duties, including reception, appointment scheduling, filing, and chart preparation.
Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations for procedures such as PT, MRIs, CTs, and surgeries.
Communicate with primary care physicians to obtain new referrals or extensions.
Administer injections and assist with procedures such as pap smears.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas.
Implement nursing care activities under the direction of the RN and report patient responses to treatments.
Participate in nursing unit management activities.
Requirements:
Current and valid LPN license in New York.
Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
CPR/BLS certification required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Experience in hospital, long-term care, or home health settings preferred but not required.
