X-Ray Technician (0–2 Years) – Contract
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $55–$63/hr
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and motivated X-Ray Technician to join our radiology team. The X-Ray Technologist will operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate radiologic imaging equipment and adjust exposure factors as needed.
Explain procedures to patients and address questions to reduce anxiety.
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Produce high-quality radiographs adhering to established standards.
Review images for quality and make technical adjustments as required.
Document patient care and imaging procedures accurately.
Perform routine equipment checks and assist with preventive maintenance.
Maintain radiology supplies and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
Stay current with professional standards through CME requirements and training.
Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Complete age-specific competency requirements annually.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T) – New York State Department of Health.
ARRT Certification required.
Competent in performing diagnostic radiologic procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Team-oriented, dependable, detail-focused, and committed to patient safety.
Education & Experience:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Up to 2 years of recent X-ray Technician experience.
