Contract Duration: 21 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 07:30 AM – 03:00 PM (7.5 hours/day)
Pay Range: $50 – $57/hr | Weekly: $1,812.50 – $2,060
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist for a 21-week school-based contract in Ashburn, VA. The successful candidate will join a dynamic educational team focused on helping students overcome communication challenges and achieve academic success.
This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a structured school environment and enjoys working with elementary-aged children across a variety of speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Intervention: Provide high-quality speech and language therapy to students with a range of communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive/receptive language.
IEP Development: Draft, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable goals tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and screenings to determine eligibility for services.
Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate communication goals into daily academic life.
Compliance: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and service logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Team Meetings: Participate in Eligibility, IEP, and 504 meetings as the communication expert.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
Licensure: Valid Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license.
Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in a K-5 school setting preferred; familiarity with Virginia special education regulations and IEP software is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
