Director of Sterile Processing

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | Rotating Weekends

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated Salary Range: $110,000 – $170,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Annual Incentive Bonus: Up to 17.5%

  • Sign-On Bonus: Case-by-case basis

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Director of Sterile Processing for an exciting job in Asheville, NC.

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing, or completion of a two-year Surgical Technology program

  • CRCST or CSPDT certification (required)

  • IAHCSMM / HSPA certification (required)

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of Sterile Processing experience in an acute care hospital environment

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience within Central Sterile Processing

  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams in high-volume hospital settings

  • Strong knowledge of OR instrumentation, aseptic technique, and infection control practices

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for Sterile Processing operations across multiple service lines

  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and frontline staff

  • Partner collaboratively with Perioperative Services, OR, CVOR, Endoscopy, Labor & Delivery, and Ambulatory leaders

Operations & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation bodies

  • Oversee quality control programs, audits, and performance improvement initiatives

  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, turnaround times, and service reliability

Staffing & Workforce Development

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a highly skilled Sterile Processing workforce

  • Ensure staff competency, certification compliance, and ongoing education

  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence

Collaboration & Resource Management

  • Integrate Sterile Processing operations with hospital-wide clinical workflows

  • Recommend staffing models, capital equipment, and operational resources to support growth

  • Represent Sterile Processing in organizational leadership initiatives and committees
