We are seeking an experienced OpenText Content Server Workflow Developer to support an Engineering Solutions Applications team. This role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting workflow-based solutions tailored to engineering and operational business needs. The position is hybrid (on-site/off-site) and requires collaboration with technical teams, business analysts, and end users.
The consultant will provide application development, workflow automation, reporting, and support services, including but not limited to:
Architect, design, and develop new workflows in OpenText Content Server (OT CS)
Analyze business requirements and propose optimal technical solutions, including workaround approaches when out-of-the-box functionality is limited
Administer, support, and enhance existing OT CS workflows
Develop and enhance workflows using Global Cents (GCI) Power Tools
Design and enhance data entry forms using XSL stylesheets, HTML5, and JavaScript
Utilize OpenText Content Server REST APIs to meet business process requirements
Create end-user and administrative reports using WebReports and LiveReports
Develop, support, and enhance SQL tables, views, functions, and stored procedures
Collaborate with end users, business analysts, and technical team members to deliver solutions
Conduct end-user training and provide ongoing application support
Draft and maintain technical documentation and support manuals
Provide general application help desk support as part of the applications support team
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server, including:
Workflow development
WebReports and LiveReports
Administration and production support
Extensive experience with OT CS workflow development tools, including Global Cents (GCI) Power Tools (Document Builder, Workflow, Reports, Views)
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and XSL stylesheets
Strong database development experience, including tables, views, functions, and stored procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience with Azure DevOps (source control, task management, CI/CD pipelines)
Experience with OpenText LiquidOffice
Experience supporting large public-sector, government, or utility organizations
