The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescents residing in a secure residential treatment setting. The RN supports the physical health and medical needs of youth while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure care plans align with behavioral, educational, and rehabilitative goals. This role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a structured residential environment.

Accredited healthcare and residential facility
Administer prescribed medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with policy and regulations
Maintain and manage medical inventory and medication storage
Assess, monitor, and document overall health status of residents
Develop, review, and evaluate nursing intervention plans
Ensure nursing interventions align with individualized treatment plans
Maintain infection prevention and control standards
Prepare and complete required clinical and administrative documentation
Participate in staff trainings, meetings, and professional development activities
Collaborate as an active member of the facility’s interdisciplinary medical and treatment team
Respond to medical concerns, emergencies, and health-related incidents
Provide health education and support to youth as appropriate
Active New York State RN license
Ability to work independently in a residential or non-acute pediatric setting
Strong assessment, documentation, and medication administration skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities
Experience working with pediatric or adolescent populations
Experience in residential, behavioral health, correctional, or secure treatment environments
Familiarity with infection control standards and regulatory compliance
Demonstrates sound clinical judgment and ethical practice
Maintains professionalism in a structured, secure environment
Ability to engage effectively with adolescents and interdisciplinary staff
