Location: Greenville, SC
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Night Shift – 3×12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,760 – $1,960
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a high-acuity adult critical care team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, advanced respiratory care skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult critical care patients.
Perform extubations and airway management, including nasal and oral airway placement.
Administer pulmonary hygiene, suctioning, and sputum specimen collection.
Perform tracheostomy care and manage trach collar oxygen therapy.
Administer respiratory medications including bronchodilators, steroids, and antibiotics.
Deliver aerosolized medications via mask, trach, MDI, and Medihaler.
Operate handheld, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers.
Manage high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy.
Provide non-invasive ventilation support (BiPAP/CPAP).
Troubleshoot ventilator alarms and assist with mechanical ventilation weaning.
Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in adult critical care settings.
Strong proficiency in:
Mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning
High-flow oxygen therapy
BiPAP and CPAP
Airway management and tracheostomy care
Experience administering medications including but not limited to:
Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Pulmicort, Perforomist, Racemic Epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex, and inhaled steroids
Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
Level I Trauma experience required
Active South Carolina RRT License (must be in hand)
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
