Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift – 5 × 8 hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: One weekend every other month

Compensation Options:

  • Weekly Gross: $2,770

  • Travel Pay: $30/hr (W2) + stipend

  • Local Pay: $58/hr

Position Summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing services in an outpatient setting, with inpatient coverage on weekends. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, patient-centered care, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

  • Provide outpatient therapy services during the week and inpatient therapy coverage on assigned weekends.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.

  • Perform assessments, document progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, techniques, and home exercise programs.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

  • Adhere to all facility policies, safety protocols, and professional practice guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active New York State SLP License

  • CCC-SLP (or equivalent certification)

  • Outpatient experience required

  • Ability to provide inpatient services on scheduled weekends
