Location: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support enterprise Oracle database environments in a hybrid work model. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, and close collaboration with application development and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and experience working within structured IT service and development frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support Oracle Database 11g and 12c environments

  • Perform full lifecycle database management including installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, and optimization

  • Analyze database performance and implement improvements for stability, scalability, and efficiency

  • Plan and execute database scaling and capacity planning activities

  • Design and support database schemas, data models, indexing strategies, and optimization techniques

  • Configure and support high availability and disaster recovery solutions including Oracle Data Guard

  • Deploy and manage Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle ASM, Oracle ACFS, and Oracle GoldenGate

  • Perform and manage RMAN backup and recovery operations

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to support application releases and database changes

  • Support environments aligned with SDLC best practices

  • Participate in operational processes aligned with ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA models

  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field

  • 7+ years of experience in a development or service administration role

  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, physical structures, and performance analysis

  • Experience with database design, data modeling, indexing, and tuning

  • Proven experience working closely with application development teams

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle installations, and Oracle RAC

  • Strong experience performing and configuring RMAN backup and recovery

  • Exposure to ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA operational models

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
