Job Type: Local / Travel Contract
Location: Geneva, NY

Shift: Day Shift – 3×12 hours
Hours: 07:15 AM – 09:00 PM

Pay Range:

  • Local: Up to $45/hour

  • Travel: Up to $55/hour

Position Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to provide diagnostic imaging services across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role requires proficiency in general radiography, portable imaging, and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations for adult and pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

  • Conduct bedside and portable radiographic procedures as needed.

  • Operate imaging equipment including PACS and C-Arm for surgical and mobile procedures.

  • Ensure proper patient positioning and optimal image quality for studies including chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and extremities.

  • Adhere to radiation safety standards, isolation precautions, and infection control policies.

  • Accurately document procedures and maintain complete patient records.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to support timely patient care.

  • Provide age-specific care across neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

  • Support weekend coverage when the primary weekend technologist is unavailable.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician.

  • Experience in acute care and outpatient imaging settings.

  • Proficiency in the following imaging areas:

    • Chest and abdomen (KUB, upright, decubitus)

    • Spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) and pelvis

    • Upper and lower extremities

    • Trauma and portable imaging

  • Ability to work independently during extended shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

Education & Certifications

  • ARRT (R) Certification required

  • BLS Certification required
